Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 1 cup Milk Powder
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee or unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Milk whole milk for creaminess
For the Syrup
  • 1 cup Sugar granulated
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 pods Cardamom crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Rosewater adjust to taste
For Frying
  • 2 cups Oil or Ghee

Method
 

How to Make Gulab Jamun
  1. Combine the milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix in ghee until crumbly, resembling wet sand.
  3. Gradually add milk, kneading until a smooth, soft dough forms.
  4. In a saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil, then add crushed cardamom pods and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in rosewater, adjusting to taste.
  6. Pinch off small portions of dough and roll into smooth balls.
  7. In a deep frying pan, heat oil or ghee over medium heat until hot.
  8. Fry the dough balls until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  9. Transfer the fried balls to warm sugar syrup and soak for at least 30 minutes.
