Ingredients

For the Bark
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Consider milk chocolate or dark chocolate for a different flavor.
  • 3 cups Popped Popcorn Ensure it's fully popped and unsalted for best results.
  • 1 cup Crushed Pretzels Any pretzel variety will work great!
  • 1 cup Jelly Beans Feel free to substitute with M&M's or your favorite chocolate candy.

Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl
  • baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spatula

Method

How to Make Chocolate Bark
  1. Melt the Chocolate: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth—around 1-2 minutes total.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Gently stir in the popped popcorn and crushed pretzels, ensuring each piece is well-coated in the luscious chocolate.
  3. Spread Mixture: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate-coated mixture onto the sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  4. Add Candy: Sprinkle the jelly beans over the chocolate mixture. Gently press down on them to ensure they stick into the bark.
  5. Cool and Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has firmed up. Once set, break into pieces to serve!
